cold weather. it is freezing outside. when you lived at napa and vallejo there in the upper 20s. >> temperatures are at 28 degrees but the windshield is that 23 degrees. oakland is at 35 degrees. they have actually warmed up since last hour. the same thing is for hayward. san francisco was the mormon spot at 41 degrees. we do have a freeze morning in affect for the north bay area. there is a frost revisory for the bay shore line and into your east bay until 8:00 a.m.. right now is 7 01 a.m.. >> we are not tracking any hot spots right now. here is a quick bridge check. the toll plaza is not too bad. it is about a 13 minute drive time out of the east shore freeway. it is about 18 to 20 minutes if you are coming from the macarthur mayes. highway 92 has not seen a spike in drive time. you can still get a cross in about 11 to 13 minutes. the golden gate bridge is an easy trip and still and easy ride on 1 01 southbound. >> on to our developing story. a body in an apartment complex was found. kron 4 urs will tran has been following the latest. >> around 1:00 the morning someone here of

the last two years briefly so you kind of have an idea of what has been doing on at this location. the first one is, this is february 16, 2011, and this was at 2:00 a.m.. and i will read you the cad briefly. inside of naan-n-curry restaurant. a concern about an agent x. let's see. it says, that she is disoriented, took her into the restaurant and bought some items and she has been acting weird. this was february the 16th, 2011. this is march the 25th, 2011. this is an assault that occurred. and it says, a group of asian males, females, harassing, and tried to hit her and that is in march. >> what time was that? >> this was at 9:00 in the evening. >> there is another cad report, this is october 27th, 2011. at 6:00 p.m. they had a trespasser at naan-n-curry. >> we have january 1st, 2012. and this is at 4:00, 4:44 in the morning. and the cad reads, naan-n-curry 8:11, intoxicated subjects outside, possibly waiting for rp to come out to start a fight. subjects are five indian males and one female. in clothing, no weapons seen. >> another incident that happened, this is march 24th and t

the screen says 26. according to justice correspondent, 27 dead right now. at least 18 of them are children. it's a fairly -- in addition to beyond sad, incomprehensibly sad, just as complex. over the past hour, we found out that 24-year-old ryan lanza, he was found shot to death. in the school. we also found out that some family member, one of ryan lanza family members shot to death at a home nearby in newtown, connecticut. a search warrant is being conducted in hoboken, new jersey. that's where he lived. we know that shortly after 9:30 this morning, walked in to the mother's kindergarten classroom and opened fire. he killed her an he also killed at least 18 children. that's the latest. we'll continue right now. in hit-and-run accident in the twin peak area. at least one person in bad shape from what we understand. we are live at the scene with the very latest. sergio? >>reporter: there are actually 2 scenes that we are looking into here. the first is just beyond the police cars over in that direction. that's where 4 people were walking earlier this evening. 3 of them were hit by a passing car. let's go ahead and look at some video of this scene so we can kind of explain this. now 3 people went over the edge. those victims were knot knocked off the edge by that, on the roadway. rescue crew had to recover them from the edge. one person suffered life threatening injuries. an adult woman. now the fourth person apparently was not injured. may have actually called police. was also searching for potentially. knot now all 3 were transported to a local hospital. now just yards away places discovered a suspect vehicle. the car had some major damage on the passenger side and the driver of that vehicle was visibly belligerent with officers inside that vehicle one of the passengers was also inju

again, we're following this breaking news outside of portland, oregon. a gunman has killed at least one person possibly two inside the clackamas towne centre mall. now, the shooting appears to be random. but again authorities say the gunman has been, quote, neutralized. we'll bring you more information as we get it. and bring you another update later in the newscast. >>> a major break in a bizarre san francisco murder case. police have arrested five people accused of leading a man and woman bound, gagged and beaten on a city street. one of the victims died. cbs 5 reporter linda yee tells us this was no random crime. >> reporter: no, it wasn't. in fact, they have arrested four women and one man in a hercules home this morning. now, police say this visitacion valley neighborhood was the dumping ground for their two victims. investigators call this case so bizarre, it is something you see only in the movies. now, a man and woman were tied up and gagged, beaten, one shot left on the street early sunday evening. information led police to the five suspects. they say a 32-year-old san fran

. it goes from the creeks and the rivers and all that was stuff is rising. we are looking at flash flooding across the area. the jet stream is positioned right over us and we have moisture against the coast. no heavy rain to report right now, but light showers stressing over from morgan hill through the santa cruz mountains and you work your way up through the peninsula. in san francisco, light showers and even hayward seeing light showers. we are not done yet even though we won't see a lot of heavy rain. the next storm system that arrives will be very heavy. the next front tomorrow morning around this time and in the time frame from 5:00 to 9:00 tomorrow morning, we could be looking at one to three inches of rain and the potential for four inches plus in the mountains that include the santa cruz and north bay mountains. wind gusts 40 to 60 and the mountains could reach 1 helped helped miles per hour. rivers are rising to some which would be in moderate flood stage. for today temperatures will be cool. you need a jacket and nothing heavy until tonight. we will detail the timing and

outside oklahoma city. officials say at least 10 people were taken to hospitals. texas got a double dose of bad weather a.25-year-old man was killed near houston after a tree fell on his pickup. snow covered the ground in longview and turned dallas into a winter wonderland. and blizzard blizzard warnings stretched from arkansas to pennsylvania. i'm ed payne reporting. >>> news time right now 6:31. the people of newtown, connecticut observed christmas with heavy hearts. it's been less than two weeks since the shooting at sandy hook elementary school claimed the lives of 20 children and six adults. a candlelight vigil was held all day long in newtown. 26 candles were lit monday at midnight. the volunteers spent three-hour shifts making sure those candles stayed burning. many people are turning to their faith right now to help them get through this very difficult time. >> we feel our hearts are broken in 26 little pieces, but it's the birth of jesus and we find strength in that, and so we're mourning, but we're also thinking of god at this time, that he'll give us the strength of his son. >

mourners gather at the same church to say good-bye to 6-year-old jessica rekos. a girl who loved horses and whales. several wakes are being held this evening for victim's of friday's massacre, including one for teacher vicki soto who is being called a hero for shielding students from the gunman. the memorials for the students and teachers grow each day. well wishers from all over are coming to pay their respects. some lit candles. others put ornaments on charlie manuel trees. many wonder how the families will get through the holidays. >> can you imagine? that's where my heart goes out to. i can't imagine having to wake up christmas morning. i wouldn't want to. >> reporter: newtown is slowly trying to return to normal. some schools other than sandy hook reopened for the first time since the shooting. buses carrying children drove on to school grounds. the buses had green and white ribbons on the front. sandy hook's colors. but police kept one elementary school closed as a precaution after they received threats. >> i will always be worried. but now it's very, very bad. >> reporter:
